End of Year Donations to OASI and Arka Foundation December 2017
Michael Grech Financial annually presents donations which are collected over the year to the non-profit organisations- OASI Foundation and Arka Foundation.
Michael Grech, the Managing Director, presented the donation to Rev. Emmanuel Cordina, Director of OASI Foundation in Victoria, Gozo and David Grech, one of the Directors, presented the donation to Mgr. Emanuel Curmi, Director of Arka Foundation in Ghajnsielem, Gozo.
Arka Foundation assists people with special needs and their families and OASI Foundation provides service for the victims of drug and/or alcohol abuse and their families.
Michael Grech Financial goes Pink October October 2017
Michael Grech Financial is once again promoting Pink October this month, in an effort to support the initiatives being driven by the Marigold Foundation, to raise awareness with regards to breast cancer. A 'Pink Day' was organised on 25th October, where all staff came together to donate funds for this initiative, were encouraged to wear something pink, whilst the office was also decorated with pink balloons. The Company will contribute the same amount of collected donations given during the month of October.
Annual Event at Arka Foundation September 2017 During the month of September, Michael Grech Financial organises a yearly BBQ to show appreciation to all the volunteers and benefactors of Arka Respite Centre. The Management and staff all contribute by preparing and serving the barbeque buffet and drinks to all the guests.
The Arka Foundation is a non-profit government organisation, with the sole aim of promoting the welfare of persons with disabilities and their families. Mgr. Emmanuel Curmi, founder-director of Arka Foundation and Fr Michael Galea, assistant director were both present for this annual event.
Mgr. Emmanuel Curmi, thanked all the volunteers, who assist at the centre and the staff at Michael Grech Financial for organizing the event. The Managing Director, Mr Michael Grech thanked all the volunteers and assured the company’s support towards the Arka Foundation.
Pink October 2016 Michael Grech Financial is supporting Pink October 2016. The aim of this philanthropic initiative is to raise awareness among employees and the general public about breast cancer prevention and to collect funds. A Pink Day was organized on 26 October, where staff members were encouraged to wear a 'touch of pink' and to donate funds to this initiative. The management will contribute the same amount collected by the donations during the month of October. This initiative falls within the company's Corporate Social Responsibility.
End of summer social event 7 Oct 2016
The management and staff at Michael Grech Financial organised a social evening to all the volunteers and benefactors of the Arka Respite Centre. The event is organised yearly by the company as part of its corporate social responsibility. The social gathering is a way to thank the benefactors and volunteers for their contributions towards the home.
The team at Michael Grech Financial took a half day off work to prepare for the barbeque which included 60 volunteers altogether with their families. During the event, the staff served all the food and drinks and entertained all the guests. Present for the event were also Mgr. As part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, Michael Grech Financial annually presents cash donation to Oasis Foundation that provides professional service for the victims of drug and/or alcohol abuse and their families. These contributions were collected over the past year by the management and staff members. The donation was presented by Michael Grech to Rev. Emmanuel Cordina, director of OASI Foundation.
Also, a donation was made to Arka Foundation during the fundraising marathon early this year. The Arka Respite Care Centre offers support to people with special needs and their families. The donation was presented to Fr Michael Galea the assistant director of the Arka Foundation.
BBQ for Arka Respite Centre 18 Sep 2015
Michael Grech Financial organised a barbeque event in aid of the Arka Foundation in Gozo. The annual summer event was organised as a thank you gesture to volunteers and benefactors of Arka Respite Centre.
The Arka Foundation is a non-profit and non-government organisation with the sole aim of promoting the welfare of persons with disabilities and their families. Mgr. Emmanuel Curmi, Director of Arka Foundation thanked all the volunteers that assist the centre and the staff at Michael Grech Financial for organising the event.

Donation to Inspire Foundation 3 Dec 2014
The Director Mrs Anna Grech presented a donation to Ann Camilleri, Manager at the Gozo Services of Inspire Foundation on the occasion of the International Day of People with Disability. The 3rd of December - a United Nations sanctioned day has been celebrated around the world since 1992 in order to promote an understanding of disability issues and awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life. Inspire is a non-profit organisation that leads the way in providing therapeutic, education and leisure services to persons with disabilities in Malta and Gozo.
Malta Community Chest Fund new offices 22 Nov 2014
President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca inaugurated a new state of the art offices for the Community Chest Fund in Gozo. The office is situated at The Brokerage in Victoria, and was given free of lease by Michael Grech for the next 20 years. This is a central place in Gozo from where the Community Chest Fund can operate its services to the general public.
A weekend break in Modica, Sicily 31 Oct 2014
This autumn, the management of Michael Grech Financial took the staff members and their respective families for a weekend break in Modica, Sicily. Apart from enjoying the local cuisine and savouring the traditional chocolates of Modica, the group enjoyed working as a team, picking olives among one of the olive groves typical of this area. The tour also included a visit to Ragusa Ibla and visiting the grand cathedral of St George.
15th Anniversary of Operations in Malta 10/10/2014 Michael Grech Financial celebrated the 15th anniversary of operations in Malta by hosting a wine tasting tour and reception at the 400 years old Marsovin Wine Cellars. The guests were entertained by a guided tour of the cellars and a brief explanation on the trade of winemaking.
When addressing the guests at the reception, Michael Grech, the Managing Director thanked all those who showed trust in the company over the last years and concluded that the company has plans to further expand its operations in Malta.

The Arka Foundation is a non-profit making and non-governmental organisation that promotes the welfare of people with special needs and their families. The management and staff at Michael Grech Financial prepared and served the food and beverages to the people present at the event. In his speech, Fr Michael Galea, the assistant director of Arka Foundation thanked all the benefactors that voluntarily assist Dar Arka all year round.

20th Century Maltese Artists Exhibition 23 Mar - 30 Apr' 14
A small collection of works of art by 20th Century Maltese Artists owned by Michael Grech is being exhibited at the museum Il-Hagar, Heart of Gozo, in Victoria. The exhibition is organised by Michael Grech Financial and is open for public viewing till the end of April.
The artists included in this exhibition, which are among the major talents that Malta ever produced are Josef Kalleya (1898-1998), Giuseppe Briffa (1901-1987), Vincent Apap (1909-2002), Willie Apap (1918-1970), Emvin Cremona (1919-1987), and Esprit Barthet (1919-1999). This exhibition, albeit a small selection, gives the viewers the opportunity to understand the nature and value of Maltese Art from the mid-to late twentieth century.
Donations to Local Foundations 14/01/2014
Michael Grech Financial annually contributes towards associations and foundations that assist in the well-being of the community. These contributions are collected yearly by staff members and managing directors. A sum of donation was presented earlier this year to two Gozitan Foundations, that work for the well-being of the community. The sum of donation to Mgr. Emanuel Curmi, director of the Arka Foundation was presented by Mrs Anna Grech, the company director. Another sum of donation was presented to Rev. Emmanuel Cordina, director of OASI, by Mr Michael Grech, the managing director. The aim of the yearly contributions is to assists these foundations to offer their professional service to the people in need.
Arka Foundation assists people with special needs and their families. Oasi Foundation provides professional service for the victims of drug and/or alcohol abuse and offer advice and support as well to their respective relatives.
Gozo Cup Football Tournaments 15/11/2013
As part of the activities held on the free weekend to Gozo, the 15th, 16th, and 17th November, Michael Grech Financial took the initiative to support the Gozo Cup football tournaments, taking place in Gozo. Michael Grech Financial sponsored the trophies and medals given to each paticipants. During the event, Mr Michael Grech did a tour of the football grounds in order to present the tokens to some of the teams and players taking part in these tournaments. The free weekend to Gozo was indeed a success in terms of business for the Gozitan community, as well as providing free entertainment for all members of the family.
Social Summer Event at the Arka Foundation 20/09/2013 For the fourth consecutive year Michael Grech financial organised a barbeque event in aid of the Arka Foundation in Gozo. The barbeque event was catered for the number of volunteers that offer their service to help run the home for people with special needs. All the food and beverages were prepared by the staff at Michael Grech Financial. Mgr. Emanuel Curmi, the director of the Arka Foundation was extremely grateful for this treat towards the volunteers since the services that the Arka Foundation offers to the community depends mostly on the work of volunteers and its benefactors.
The Managing director Michael Grech assured the company’s social commitment towards the Arka Foundation as a non-profit making and non-governmental organisation that promotes the welfare of people with special needs and of their families in Malta and in Gozo.
Donation to Arka Foundation
As a yearly contribution, Michael Grech Financial Services presented the sum of €1,500 to the director Mgr. Emanuel Curmi in aid of the Arka Foundation in Ghajnsielem Gozo. The money was collected over the last year by the staff and also from donations by clients.
Towards the end of summer the staff at Michael Grech Financial took a half day off from the usual work routine in order to organise an evening of entertainment for all the volunteers of the Arka Foundation in Ghajnsielem, Gozo. This has become a yearly commitment in the calendar of social events at Michael Grech Financial Investment Services where all the staff based in Malta and Gozo offices team up to offer their contribution to set up this event.
Mr Michael Grech, the managing director of the company said that all the staff members were glad to be able to spend some time being of service to the community at the Arka Respite Centre.
